Mykonos

We were loving the Greek sunshine, so we skipped across the Greek Islands to Mykonos for some serious fun in the sun. Our hotel high on the hill had spectacular views over the town and port, perfect for sunset drinks and a bit of IPOD dancing.

We hired the scooter and hit the road to Super Paradise Beach, which is one of the many clothes optional beaches. Paradise Beach was great for the first full moon party of the summer and of course, happy hour with the dancers drawing attention to the massive sounds from their bar. Each bar tries and outdo the next in a fight for beach supremacy and a share of the tourists coins.

Our pick of the beaches was the out of the way northern Panormos Beach with its half moon bay, café on the beach and beautiful waters. Bloody lovely..

Our trek down from the hotel was more an obstacle course than a path but the journey was worth it, the maze of streets in Mykonos town slowly opened up and we found some great little shops, interesting locals, the odd watering hole and more fantastic food. Once out of Athens we couldn’t get enough of the freshest (off the boat to your plate) calamari so we weren’t missing the Mumbai butter chicken at all...
