New Year's Eve...better late than never!

Ok I'm slack. My job was to blog NYE's....well at least it's not February.
We met a lovely Israeli (very American) girl in Varkala, who ended her 3 month trip in India with us in Mumbai. Jo Shaw was also in town and the 4 of us were lucky enough to be given tickets to Bombay's biggest, most glamorous party, held at the Marriott (which is 5 mins in a rickshaw). Nothing starts early in India, so we decided we wouldn't go until 10'ish and drank cocktails at home. Big mistake. In hindsight, should have gone at 8 and eaten the award winning all night buffets. Jo and I missed out on food! The worst possible thing that could have happened to the two of us!.

By the time we rickshawed it to the Marriott, we were slightly 'happy', and in total awe at the hotels transformation. We walked in to loads of people, stages, lights, shots, syringes full of shots, more alcohol than you could poke a stick at....we met some incredible friends....friends for life (& I got myself a stalker).
This is lovely Krishna, our first friend...all the way from.. Brisvegas!

Here we have Sweaty Richard, Marks very good friend and Jo's good friend, Alex.....
and the Indian Sikh, but very cockney ...MIKE!
We found Mike, truly incredible to have spent NY with you Mike!

All four of us think we were drugged, as there are many blank moments, many people we don't remember. Mark can't remember Mike.
Jo can't remember the glamorous Aussie chick, we all do remember the Italian models.

We lost each other, we found each other.

New Years went off with a bang, bands played....
This room was dedicated to the desert buffet, (I was lost at this point, can you believe it Mel M?)

Mark can't remember dancing with the staff in Spices!

Nor this discussion!

This is how it is done! Screw the light bulb, pat the dog, put out the ciggie.

Hmm, waiting for Mark?

Home time....

Shazzy, have you been staring in a movie with Shilpa Shetty yet? Have been watching her on Celebrity BB and would not be surprised if she will be your friend soon! Hope you will be in India for a while cause I really wanna come and visit too! Lots of love. xoxox isa xoxoxx
